Economic Development
The availability of a qualified workforce is critical to successful economic development. The Workforce Development Board works closely with economic development organizations in their efforts to recruit new businesses to the region and to assist new and existing businesses with training and skill upgrades for their employees.

Chambers of Commerce
The Workforce Development Board partners with the five chambers of commerce in Okaloosa and Walton Counties to communicate available employer services, to encourage participation in workforce services and programs, and to encourage continual feedback to the board by the member businesses.
Education/Training
The Workforce Development Board, through its service providers, issues Individual Training Accounts to eligible job seekers to assist them in gaining the necessary skills to enter the workforce and gain self-sufficiency.
