06/02/09 Federal Minimum Wage Increases to $7.25 Effective July 24, 2009 Florida's minimum wage is $7.21 per hour. The current Federal minimum wage rate of $6.55 per hour will increase to $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. In cases where an employee is subject to both state and federal minimum wage laws, the employee is entitled to the higher minimum wage.
